He Will Do It Again

He will do it again

1 Samuel 17:37 David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”

In this familiar text God is talking to Saul who was doubting David’s ability to defeat Goliath. He discouraged him by referring to his stature, age, and ability. Yet David was confident, David was trained, and David was anointed.

Though people judged his outward appearance, David had great power. It takes great strength to fight lions and bears yet alone lead and protect his sheep. (1 Samuel 17:34-36) Therefore he had the confidence and the training to defeat the Goliath. Lastly David was anointed. Samuel had personally anointed David by the instructions of God himself. (1 Samuel 16:13). The spirit of God had fell on David once he was anointed and he was personally selected to play for Saul when the evil spirit came upon him.

So David was well equipped to fight Goliath. Many times when we are in a situation we can't do everything they everyone does or how they see fit. No, you need a personalized plan from God which is obtained by staying connected. You need to do what you have been anointed to do. Therefore when Saul gave David his gear, David had to return it because he was not trained nor equipped for that gear.

1 Samuel 17:38. Therefore he equips himself properly and was greeted by Goliath who was saying "Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field.” 1 Samuel 17:4

Here we have everyone surrounding David probably assuming that he has met his destiny with death, others although they were in trouble were mocking David’s confidence. Yet David stood strong, he knew that the same God that has been faithful to oversee him in the past was faithful to see him through this as well. Therefore he pulled out his slingshot and put Goliath to death.

God is faithful and he will bring you out every situation that you may find yourself in. He honors his word above his name Psalm 138:2

He cannot lie, there remain steadfast and un-moveable. Don't allow people's perspective of you or your situation to cloud your judgment of who God called you to be or what he said he will do in your life. Reflect back on what God has done. Remember how he has brought you out. Remember how he has provided. Remember on how he delivered you. Remember on how he brought increase. Remember on how he made a way

God is not limited. If He did it before He will do it again.

The same God that gave you peace, He will do it again
