Love
In my opinion love, forgiveness, and faithfulness (to God through love) are components that cannot be broken. Why?
What is love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, has the best definition.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
You cannot love without being forgiving because people will disappoint and hurt you at times, but we must continue to love. But its impossible to love without faithfulness. You can’t be double minded, when you love someone, but you must being by steadfast over looking all flaws relying on the power of the Holy Ghost to teach you how to walk in love by being faithful unto Christ.
God commanded us from the beginning to love. To love not just those close to us but to love our enemies as well. To love our enemies by doing good unto them although they despitefully use you (Luke 6:28)
The magnitude to love someone that hurt you (relative, spouse, child, friend, associate) is great. Why? Our natural human tendency is to raise our guard and say you will never get the opportunity to hurt me again therefore I write you off. But that's not love. That's not how Gods loves us, especially when we constantly make the same mistake over and over again. He doesn't say “I shed my blood for nothing!” I cast you from my presence! No! He gently loves and guides us.
I like what the bible says. I will guide you with my eye. (Psalm 32:8)
He says my grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9)
The bible says where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20)
There let's be more like Christ. Ask God to remove the old callused heart. (Ezekiel 32:26)
We need a new heart in order to love those closest to us as well as those who wish us harm. I’m not saying that you should lay on the ground and let someone that despises you to walk over you. But what I am saying is walk in love: be respectful, greet them, share the word of God with them. If they are in need of help, and you are in the position to help them (without bringing burden on yourself), help them. Proverbs 25:21 says if you enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.” It’s not about you but it is Christ living on the inside of you shinning light on them. For the bible declares that you are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13)
So as you are reading this and you know that there are some people in your life, that are hard to love, or that you might just have written off because of whatever that has transpired. I encourage you today my brother, my sister, to ask the Lord to touch you and give you a new heart. John 14:26, reads “But the helper, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name, he will teach you all things.” The Holy Spirit will teach you how to walk in love, the Holy Spirit will guide you lead and direct you on how to interact with people. You don’t have to do it on your own, because the weight is to heavy. So surrender all unto Christ and watch him do great things in your life
Be blessed
